QS reference: rates and tables for Malaysia
The figures we reach for when a budget, a tender or a claim needs a sanity check, published for the industry: construction rates from our own Klang Valley tender pricing, and the tables every quantity surveyor keeps in a drawer.
The rates are all-in trade rates from tenders and subcontractor quotations priced by WE Quantity Surveyor, given as ranges with the basis stated on each page, and they are text, not pictures, so they can be searched, copied into a spreadsheet and checked. They are a starting point for a pre-tender estimate or a check on someone else's; they are not a substitute for quotations on your own project, and they are revised as the market moves.

Hoarding, signboard, site office, ESCP, temporary services, supervision, insurances, bonds, levies, and preliminaries as a share of the contract sum.
